MY STORY

For over a decade, I worked in the corporate world—first in Spain, and later in the UK, in Liverpool and Birmingham. I spent nine years leading a team in exports, and three more as an export clerk. But fashion was always there, in the back of my mind, waiting for the right moment.

When the company I worked for merged with another, I was offered a position in the new organization. It was a safe option, but something in me craved more. I wanted to know what else was out there, beyond the confines of the corporate world.

As luck would have it, the company brought in a coaching firm to help those who were being made redundant or choosing to leave, like I was. Over two days of coaching, we partnered up and went through exercises to uncover our best skills and dream jobs. And guess what? Fashion came up for me. That experience cemented my belief in the power of coaching, which is why I continue to work with coaches to this day.

My coaching partner gave me a challenge: to explore studies in fashion. So I did. I found a Postgraduate degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising in London and jumped in headfirst. It was the most intense thing I've ever done, including commuting from Liverpool to London and teachers wondering if I was mad to complete a degree in this way—an immersive, hands-on experience that simulated the real fashion industry. I learned how high street collections come to life, from concept to rack.

But as I delved deeper, I had a realization. I had been the perfect customer for fashion, but fashion had not been the perfect tool for me. My wardrobe was full of pieces that changed with every season, some of which didn’t even last that long.
Way too many clothes in my wardrobe, not feel like myself, buying more clothes ended up not being sustainable, for my wardrobe or wallet. I got lost. I used to buy clothes constantly, always hunting for that perfect piece to finally make me feel… what, exactly? Confident? Comfortable? Fabulous? It changed.
Until a fashion degree.

I realized that while I loved fashion, I wanted to be part of a different conversation—a conversation about stopping unnecessary spending on clothes, loving fashion, how to find yourself when you don't feel identified with minimal styles and neutral hues, and the true power of finding your personal style.

After my studies, I didn’t want to rush the learnings in favour of the industry. I actually wanted to help women like you and me, the women who were actually buying those collections.

I wanted to break down the overwhelming ( and fast) information that was being created every season. We seemed to be rushed for something and I was eager to find out what feelings we were after, especially in a woman's lifetime and body changes
( post-partum bodies, menopause, size changes, moving to a new city, change of a job or starting a new one or wanting to progress in your career to name a few.

...More women must be feeling as lost as I was at a given moment in time, I thought, and then I understood, the information out there is overwhelming and confusing!

But I understood now what was the secret: A mix between finding your style and buying better.

I flipped the script. Instead of shopping blindly, I started creating a collection for myself using the same process high street buyers use.

I became my own buyer, my own creator, my own editor and my purchase master for anything that makes me feel what I want at any given time and guess what? It worked!

So I started to host live events. I didn’t even know what I was doing, all I knew was that I wanted to help other women out there, who must be feeling lost and too overwhelmed with information, find their style and reconnect with themselves through clothes.

The speaking in public skills I obtained during my Postgraduate in London gave me the courage to be in front of women to break down different subjects such as style, colour combination, and so much more. I was not selling anything. I wanted the same process a fashion buyer uses for clients in the head office, creating collections and marketing them, but use it to teach women the same process for themselves! It was exciting!

I became better at it, and having more attendees, started to create a process( the buyer's process) so I could help more women.

Raxanie was then born back in 2019. It has always been about bringing you back to YOU. Always mention to women, that I don’t style them, we create together. Over the years, organically, busy female professionals have sought my services, since is the workplace that seems to make us feel the most lost when it comes to aligning our personality to what we wear.

I’ve helped women rediscover their identity and express it through their wardrobe. It’s about feeling like yourself in everything you wear.

That brought me to where I am today: a fashion consultant with a passion for helping others find their unique style while making mindful choices. My journey has shown me that fashion is not just about clothes; it’s about how you present yourself to the world and buy better. And now, I’m here to help others tell their own stories, one outfit at a time focusing on six areas:

1- Transform your Wardrobe: Assess and define your unique style goals
2- Discover your signature style: Unveil your true Fashion Identity
3- Master the Art of Effortless dressing
4- Making shopping a breeze: when you know your style, the right clothes will find you.
5- Built your first 10-piece collection: curate a wardrobe that reflects who you are.
6- Create stunning outfits with ease.

I didn't have the confidence to ad colour to my wardrobe, to be honest, I was intimidated by colour. I'm a neutral girl or used to be until I attended one of Raquel's colour masterclasses. It was an eye opener as I have learned about colour combinations, how to style colour each season and many more. You have to see me now!

Corporate Lawyer, London, UK.

I've recently returned to work after maternity leave, and I'm now thinking of changing my career. It may sound strange, but it’s almost like my job and wardrobe represent the past me, and whilst I want to change both, I haven't been brave enough to do it yet. Who would have thought our wardrobes say so much about us?

Raquel’s masterclasses have been great in helping me move forward! She has a really clear way of explaining how to develop your wardrobe and just making it all seem less daunting. I love that her focus is on finding your style rather than following trends. In the process, you end up learning a lot about yourself, and how your clothes can better reflect you! "

"Loved the Masterclass, really informative and great to be in a session with like minded women. It really inspired me to try something new, specifically a new colour that I had never though of before

"I recently attended the 'A Winning wardrobe for Work" Masterclass, and it was a transformative experience. Raquel was not only engaging and professional but also made the learning process incredibly fun. This Masterclass equipped me with the tools to enhance my wardrobe, boosting my confidence in professional settings. The practical advise on creating a lasting impression has already made a noticeable difference in my career. I highly recommend this Masterclass to anyone looking to elevate their personal brand and professional image"

"Raquel's events are amazing - informative, give us a real understanding of our wardrobes and how we can make the best of what we’ve got. Why waste so many clothes? It’s made me think more before buying clothes to buy better and waste less. Easy-going events, no pressure to feel like you are ‘fashionable’ enough to attend. Raquel is great to chat with and I always have a great time at her events"

Raquel has a great sense of style and a real knack for analysing one's taste, body shape and outfit preferences. She took the time to understand my personal goals and how my lifestyle and career influence my wardrobe needs. She then educated me on what was missing in my wardrobe and tackled some misconceptions about my style. Finally, she applied her deep knowledge as a fashion consultant and buyer to create a wardrobe for me that is versatile, personal, fun and - most importantly - makes me feel great and confident. Raquel is very professional and responsive, and the whole process was very convenient and easy. I can wholeheartedly recommend Raquel to any businesswoman who loves fashion but doesn't have the time to think, research or shop to put together a winning wardrobe.
