6 TYPE OF JEANS: EASY GUIDE ON NEW TRENDS AND HOW TO WEAR THEM.

How many type of jeans do you see around this season ?

More than ever I would say!

Say what? paperbag , balloon, mom, kick flare, high waist, low-rise, high-rise, wide leg, cropped, culotte, ripped or not ripped.

Don't get caught up on the noise. Here is my edit and easy guide of the five jeans you should know about this season. Choose yours!

  1. - Mom jeans

  2. - Full length, but wide

  3. - Full length, but straight

  4. - Cropped jeans, wide

  5. - Cropped jeans, straight

  6. - Paper bag jeans

1- MOM FIT JEANS

Let's start with the obvious star of the season. The mom fit jeans, is a high waist style, cosy in the hips and slightly wider around the tights than other jeans. They look amazing in the models on the websites. They are not the most flattering of jeans I am afraid. They are comfy as hell, yes, to transition into spring and leave your jogger trousers behind.

2- WIDE LEG, FULL LENGHT JEANS

This is a personal fab. It elongates your legs, and it looks really cool with a flat sandal, and a trainer as well as with a heeled mule. Choose if you want a high waist or a mid rise jean. Contrast the width of the trouser, with a fitted top tucked in.

3- WIDE LEG, CROPPED JEANS

This is a fresh approach to spring. A cute style and versatile to make a statement with your jeans. They look so good with any top; loose, fitted, oversized, you choose! casual cute at its best.

4- PAPERBAG TAPERED JEANS

I was pleasantly surprised by trying this type of jean on. They are actually super flattering at the waist! and I always go for low-rise jeans, as my torso is shorter than my legs. But this jeans are great and super comfy! I would recommend black though, the jean material and the shape can make you look bigger. They work with any type of shoe, but keep the top part short.

5- STRAIGHT LEG, FULL LENGH JEANS.

"Normal" jeans are back. Simple, easy, flattering.

If you are not ready for a wide leg, start slow with a full length. This jeans are brilliant if you got tired of the cropped jean so in fashion over the years, and if you are cold around your ankles.

They look great with a flat sandal, and elongate your legs with a heeled mule this season.

Keep the top part as you like, they suit overside T-shirts, fitted tops, overshoe shirts and jumpers.

Just keep it short on the waist.

6- STRAIGHT LEG JEAN, CROPPED.

They are in every cut this season ( kick flare, high waste, low rise, raw hem...)

Similar to its big brother, this type of jean is super flattering to anyone. A classic. For spring, wear it with a shoe or boot that shows your ankle. On the top part, they look cool and casual with an oversized white shirt, or loose jumper or T-shirt.

A winner in any colour.
