SPRING SHOES: TRANSITIONAL ( & realistic) FOOTWEAR

Spring is that time of the year where we don't want to wear chunky boots any more, but we are not there yet for a barefoot sandal. So what do you wear? For real?

I know there are millions of options out there, but not all of them are practical.

Here is my selection of the best type of shoes for spring, the comfortable ones, that give you versatility and an effortless vibe, and why!

Scrolling down, you will find which shoes I avoid and why.

Happy reading!

WINNER SHOES FOR SPRING

1- THE FLAT-POINTED OR ALMOND SHAPED BALLERINA

There are gorgeous models out there right now. They scream elegant, feminine and adult.

They look great with barrel jeans, cropped trousers and wide-leg trousers, winners!

2- THE MINIMAL TRAINERS

Chunky trainers have been everywhere, with bright colours dominating the scene, however move over chunky trainers! because an elegant touch is making its way everywhere, into the trainer.

Nude colours and low ankle will make them look great with ankle-length jeans (perfect for Spring) and skirts. Very versatile!

3- THE FEMININE LOAFER

Like the trainers, we have passed the chunky era. I know they are around, but I don't know about you, I feel like if I wear a loafer, it better be a more feminine style.

I personally stay away from the standard masculine-type loafers; they do not suit everyone, and don't fall for the classic loafers for everyone. They are not a wardrobe winner for everyone. Instead, I would choose the following models:

4- THE KITTEN HEEL SLINGBACK

Always. Since this got introduced a couple of years back ( and it does not look like it is going anywhere), I love it! I have tried and tested them, and I am all in! When you fancy a wearable heel, this is your pick. There are so many models out there, and if you are a wide fit, they tend to suit you too! A good leather and quality will be your winner! Check my pick!

SHOES I AVOID AND WHY

1- MESH BALLERINA FLATS

I said it a couple of years ago. This model will end up in a landfill in a few years; it's totally a wasted trend.

Plus, they don't seem that comfortable on the feet, or hold their shape. It's a no.

2- FLAT MULES OR GLOGS.

They may be comfortable, they look they are, but it's not flattering at all to the feet and they will be out of style soon.

There you have it. My go-to and avoid shoes for the Spring.

Any favourite or what you would NOT wear?

Tell me!

Raquel
