HOW TO BUY IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY DURING SALES, FROM THE HIGH STREET.

We are often made to feel guilty for buying high street clothes, I get it, it's what is out there, handy and modern, fresh and it gets us. However, we can all do it in a more sustainable way. Not talking here about buying just classics. Here you have a few ways you can actually be sustainable AND shop high street guilt free ( in case you had any at all).

1- Forget the That will do it

That's the first rule, just ban this all together from your shopping vocabulary.

I have seen this so many times ( in myself and others) that just because it is cheap, we take it home without a purpose. Make each piece in your wardrobe have a purpose.

2- Look at fabrics

Linen at this time of the year is super comfy, fresh, natural and it looks expensive.

On the contrary.... hello polyester!

3- Avoid patterns your future self is going to get tired of wearing.

Yes, even though you may like flowers, wearing that dress over and over again because it is in your style, may be fine, but be sure it is, because otherwise, you will not enough wear of that dress.

4- Look for basics with a twist

I always say this as I am not really a minimalist myself or classic style. I love it in someone else, and not me, it washes me out.

So go for basics, with a different cut, a different shape, they will be modern and give a fresh uplift to your wardrobe.

5- Find your style- Definitely!

We tend to buy things just because they are cheap. ( been there done that) and never wore it really because we though it was our style, yet got home and something is odd.

5- Encuentra tu estilo. Definitivamente.

6-Shape, shape, shape

Some of the fits from high street are not the best fit. Just because is cheap and you absolutely love it,

if the fit is not right, forget the colour, forget the pattern, is not right! and no right now, but in the long haul, you will regret to have bought that piece.

6- Formas, formas, formas.

Which point do you feel identified the most?
